On the occasion of the one-year anniversary of the newly revised Administrative Reconsideration Law, the Ministry of Justice will hold the annual training class for the national administrative reconsideration system in Beijing from December 25 to 27, 2024. Hu Wei, a member of the Ministry's Party Leadership Group and Vice Minister, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech.

The training class emphasized the need to adhere to Xi Jinping's Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era as guidance, deeply implement Xi Jinping's Thought on the Rule of Law, earnestly study and understand the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the Central Economic Work Conference, comprehensively summarize the positive results achieved since the implementation of the new law, accurately analyze the new situations and tasks faced by administrative reconsideration work, systematically grasp the key tasks and practical requirements for promoting high-quality development of administrative reconsideration, and provide a solid legal guarantee for high-quality economic and social development.

This training was the first to use a video conferencing system to connect administrative reconsideration institutions at all levels for a unified class. The Judicial Administrative College of the Ministry of Justice served as the main classroom, with about 110 responsible persons from administrative reconsideration institutions in various provinces (regions, municipalities) and relevant departments of the State Council attending the training; local judicial administrative departments set up sub-classrooms, with approximately 22,000 administrative reconsideration personnel and invited administrative law enforcement personnel participating in the live video training.

The training class invited well-known legal experts and responsible persons from the Administrative Trial Division of the Supreme People's Court to give specialized lectures, and for the first time arranged frontline case handlers to provide in-depth explanations on government information disclosure, work injury identification, administrative discretion, and practical case handling in administrative reconsideration mediation. Administrative reconsideration institutions from Sichuan, Anhui, Fujian, Shandong, Jiangxi, Guangdong, Gansu, and the State Administration of Taxation shared their work experience in the main classroom.
